Sometimes I get black charcoal spots on the corners of my bottom case. Is this a serious issue with my MBP, or is it just for some random reason that doesn't matter. It really is bugging me.

I wish I could take pics, but the only camera I have is the isight camera on my MBP.

Do you know the temperature that the black spots are appearing at? It could be heat related, although my CD MacBook pro has been up to 170F (77C) before and not had black spots appear.

Can anyone else reply to this?

These black spots have appeared on my Santa Rosa 2.4 gHz 15 inch MB Pro. There is a cluster of multiple black dots, each about the size of this "." or a little smaller. They are only on the lower right part of the palm rest and won't come off with any amount of wiping with a damp, soapy cloth.
