Blackberry announced a new phone today for an affordable price:

http://shop.blackberry.com/store/bb...lickID=b6kdm6esnggfvld1ynum1g6ggz6mkfnvyvylnv

$299 USD unlocked with free power bank. Here are the specs below:

5.2 FHD screen
Snapdragon 617 processor
3GB of RAM
13 MP rear/ 8 MP front facing cameras
Android 6.0
16gb of storage + SD Slot
2610 mAh battery
Quick Charge 2.0 Micro USB Standard
NFC

It includes Blackberry HUB apps and Android. A great device for the price of $299. Competes with the Moto G4/G4 Plus, Nexus 5X, Alcatel 4S Idol (whatever it's called, nomenclature is too weird lol), and other midrangers $299-$349 USD.

So, this is a Idol 4, right?

Probably since the Alcatel/RIM rumors came out recently. Nothing wrong with it as long as the asking price isn't absurd. Solid phone for what it offers.

Blackberry could indeed build something worse than an Android phone: an Android phone with the worst name ever.

For that pricetag I'm getting the OPO 3 with a Snapdragon 820, 6 gigs of RAM and a decent camera.

I like Blackberry (my second phone is the Bold 99) but they've really lost all focus and are now trying to throw different things at the wall and see what sticks. With encryption basically being available for every phone nowadays and the endless options with rooted phones I don't think you can make it even more secure.

But man that name is for sure....something else very interesting
