Another rebranded Alcatel ?

Couldn't you simply buy the $100 cheaper Alcatel idol 4S and download / install ALL the blackberry apps and services as they are now available on all handsets. You will even get a VR headset thrown in at the $100 cheaper price.

Blackberry are no longer going to be making hardware or releasing newer hardware themselves focusing on software, which puts this last remnant of a handset and their Priv and DTEK50 in the same predicament in regards to actual Android OS updates going forward.

it does look nice. Early reviews and impressions seem pretty favourable too, bit I think thats more to do with the price and the fact the phone has some pretty high end specs.

For me, its not a BlackBerry... And that's why in sad that they're no longer making phones and are simply rebranding other manufactured devices.

Still, nice to see a new BB device with Android and finally a BB with a fingerprint scanner.
