Even with the iPhone out of the loop, they don't always do so well...

We have two Storms where I work, and so far, everyone we've given them to (traditional-style BlackBerry users) have requested to switch back to their old BB (after a week or two of using the Storm).

They've probably been through 30+ over the last few months...

I'm very curious to see the changes on the Storm 2! :)

the BB only beats the iphone on corporate features like management and security. for usability, iphone wins

Messaging on the BB is better than the iPhone. It is much more integrated (email and SMS) than the iPhone.

My friend bought a Storm. He hates it.

I have a friend with a Storm who loves it. Go figure.

The Storm 2 actually looks to be a huge improvement, but in no way does it match the iPhone.

Yep, reviewers love the improvements. (I still think they should support a press-less UI mode, though.)

However, until/unless the iPhone is available on Verizon, or the Storm on ATT, they are not direct competitors.

I had a Storm for a few months.

It's just very menu intensive and not as smooth as iPhone's UI for me to use on a daily basis.

The browser is about 5 years behind Safari, too.

It's got it's good and bad points but overall iPhone is purely more fun to use and a hell of a lot smoother.

We'll see what the 2nd incarnation of Storm brings...

Indeed, it takes multiple steps to do anything with the Storm. Quicklaunch is a must with the storm.

lol that era was a joke. Iphone haters said "storm will put iphone to shame."Jealous little *****!
