Once again this year, BlackBerry is giving away free apps for the holidays.

Only this time, you don't have to check every day for one app, there's one set from the 10th to the 17th, and on the 18th there will be a new set.

The first set consists of around a dozen apps (might vary by region).

I think I see one from last year: StarTracker.

The second batch of around 20 apps has been made available free starting today.

Blackberry could give away Blackberries for free, and it still wouldn't matter. :)

They do have better app support than WP. I never thought I would say this, but BB could survive down in the pits for awhile and rise back up, while WP is more likely to be history for good.

Cube, do you have stock in Blackberry or are you just the last huge fan left? They have to be on life support at this point. They could give me their latest and greatest device for free and i wouldnt want it.

Stock peddlers hang out in stock shilling sites, BB fans hang out in crackberry.

Seems like an influx of BB threads, I wonder why.

Because they had a couple main events this month scheduled since a long tme ago. Prior to that, it was the iPhone trade-in offer, the 50% discount at shopblackberry, and the Passport launch. Before that, you have to look at the Z3 launch.

The next main event will be the release of 10.3.1 for pre-Passport BB10 phones, which are officially at 10.2.1 still.

The enterprise stuff news are not usually discussed here.

Cross-platform BBM also does not get much mention, when it should.

You must have took a wrong turn then
All these Blackberry threads are pretty sad, like a 1-person party.

Sad is almost exclusive focus on Android, when it is not the only iOS alternative.

It is me who should be asking why you hope so intensely for BlackBerry to fail that you have to always attack these threads without contributing anything. I see that you are from Canada, you should not complain that your dollar is cheap when you actively work against it.
