I have a MacBook Pro and I tried using Pwnagetool to jailbreak it. It was successful and I've been successful with it in the past, but recently it doesn't really work, it just installs a non-working Cydia and makes all my downloaded apps from iTunes not work. (I used version 3.1.2)

I currently have an iPhone 3Gs on the most recent iPhone firmware. Everytime I download the Mac version of Blackra1n from the website, and then extract, I open the program, and it shuts off not even a second after the logo shows up on the bottom Mac dock. Any other options to jailbreak this phone from my Mac?

Do you have current MacOS software ? Are you running Blackra1n from desktop ? If you have a MacBook, you can jailbreak with Pwnage Tool and unlock with Blacksn0w (if you need unlock). Pwnage Tool is a very stable jailbreak.

Go to iClarified and get a tutorial

Yes I did download the Mac version, and I'm running it from the desktop. I'll check out iClarified, any other options though?
