hey guys, im new to the forum real cool :apple: is awesome!

so i have a question.

basically.
yesterday my iphone was working perfectly, so i decided to jailbreak it via Pwnagetool. its all worked great. Real Good, until i was installing my invisibleshield and water got inside the phone!!!!!

So it started turning on and off.
So i called Apple, and since its under 30 days they made an exception
to change it even if water damaged. i know awesome right.

but the problem is if they turn on the phone the jailbroke will void the warranty and im stuck on this screen!

is there a way to reboot it, because my macbook air won't read the phone, i alreadt dryed it out and it turns on but my mac wont read it!

Please Help me out! and thank you for taking your time to read this

Say your friend jailbroke it and you couldn't work out how to undo it?

thanks, XD thats what i was planning on saying but i dont think they'll buy it. i only had the phone for 3 weeks. ive searched you could SSH into the phone. but i dont remember if i installed OpenSSH yesterday.

the iphone Turns on. Boots to the Pineapple. then stays on then turns off. i cant get it to DFU mode

Since you say they're going to give you a new one anyway, even though it's water damaged (I find that unbelievable, but okay), why don't you just totally submerge it, so it doesn't work at all? :D

i was thinking about that too. but its not completely water damaged. it was only a spray. a genius made an arrangement, because ive had the phone for less than a month. but i want to remove the jailbreak before i send it to them

Well, from what you describe the buttons aren't working, so what else can you do? If you can't get it to restore, you're kind of SOL.

I do know one thing, If I was you and I got lucky enough to get a new phone out of this (since you did actually ruin the phone with water) I would get a screen protector that sticks by static, and doesn't require water.

When I was stuck booting, I just held home and power for 10 seconds until it went off. If that doesn't get it off, nothing else will apart from letting the battery run dry or smashing it up.

Im sorry but I dont believe this guy. I have installed invisible shield with a spray of water and never had any problem with it or what so ever. When you take it to Apple, they will instantly restore it if they cant turn it on so what are you afraid of?

It doesn't do any good now, but others can learn from your mistake, don't add those custom logos when using Pwnage.
I think the option shouldn't even be there.

You don't believe him because you didn't water damage your phone when you installed one?

Okay.

I've installed quite a few of these things and one time I somehow managed to get water in the dock connector and the phone started acting erratically. Luckily the sensor wasn't tripped so I was able to get it swapped for a refurb.

Have you checked the sensors? If neither have been tripped I'd say just wait for the screen to dry out then take it to the genius bar. If they are, I'd go ahead with the complete submersion and kill the phone completely. They already said they were going to replace it so what are you worried about?

I agree with the other posts, if you're sure apple will replace it even from water damage, i'd just kill the phone completely so it wont be able to turn on.
