Blackra1n RC3 is it causing data connection issues (not WIFI) ?

Since I installed RC3 jailbreak which has unlock enable on it, my mobile data connection is acting weird (3G and Edge). It keeps loosing connection to the carrier and I get only GSM (no E or 3G appearing). I have a Blackberry Bold with the same carrier and if I check the BB it has 3G coverage without a problem.

Does anyone has the same issues ? Any ideas how to solve it ?

what carrier, make sure the iphones chip is compatable with the 3g that the cell company uses. Also reset your network settings. It has helped some people with this problem. Did install blacksnow? Just installing blackrain rc3 does not unlock the phone.

Dread, Thanks for your reply. My sim used to work fine with 3G. The carrier is called Vivo (Brazilian company).

I thought RC3 had the unlock feature within it. Maybe I'm wrong. Nevertheless, I have installed the pushfix and reset the network. Both of them seems to be not directly connected to the 3G/EDGE problem I was facing.

I'll wait a couple of hours and see if it did the trick.

I am pretty sure you need to install blacksnow from cydia to unlock. Otherwise you are just jailbroken.
