hey all, long time listener, first time caller. I've had an air since launch but have a weird issue when i put the laptop to sleep (usually overnight) and open the lid. Basically I'm greeted with a black screen and cursor, nothing else. I have to crash and reboot it to get it working again.
Anyone have a similar issue?

I’ve had this happen in the past but not since I upgraded to Big Sur 11.1.

I'm on 11.2.1 and still having the issue. Starting to wonder if it's a background app causing it.
You can log out before closing the lid to test if it is likely a software problem. If you never see the problem when logged out I would suspect you are right.

Make sure and file a bug report with Apple, or call them and discuss the problem. Until it is remedied, consider not putting the M1 to sleep. Just turn off the screen when you are done using the M1. That will prevent that problem from happening.
