I only have "Remove Recents" (i.e. to show only running apps in app switcher).
I have noticed that when I close some apps and other apps shift on the screen that, sometimes, the preview screen of moving app disappears and becomes blank / transparent...

Yes, I have the same issue and I, too, have "Remove Recents" installed. I'm sure this is the cause. I'm going to submit a bug report to Evilpenguin|.
Actually, I installed the latest update from his beta repository before emailing him, and found the problem is solved. You might try updating.

The "http://cydia.evilpengu.in" doesn't contain the updated "Remove Recent" as far as I can see...

I see... apparently he uses "AppSwitcherClearRecents" during development and then switches to "Remove Recent" when released to public...
BTW, at "https://github.com/evilpenguin/RemoveRecents" there is source (it shows it is compiled on January 9th 2014)!
