There are some people that seem to think that ALL 2012 Minis are affected by the 2-6 second blinking black screen of doom.

I had the same issue as everyone else on my first Mini but NOT on my replacement Mini that I ordered from Best Buy.

The Mac Mini I have is the mid end i7 model, non-BTO. I added a Crucial 256gb SSD as the boot/main OS drive and 16gb Crucial Vengeance RAM.

Just to make it clear I connect via HDMI to DVI adapter and then DVI to monitor. Previously I tested out an HDMI to HDMI Monitor and with both monitors I have not had the blinking black screen issue after replacing my Mac Mini.

Has there been anyone else that does not have this issue? I'm just curious if it's an issue that affects the entire line (and I just happen to not notice it in the last 3 and a half weeks) or if there are cases like mine where it is unaffected.

Also for people who have downloaded the EFI fix... has it fixed the issue for you? I saw a couple of comments stating that it had not.

I've had my 2012 mini for over a month and never had any flickering or washout or anything. connected via the hdmi to dvi connected to a Samsung SyncMaster 244T 24" (made in 2004 or 2005).

Mini 2.3 quad (I added a 128 GB Samsung 830 SSD to it and diy fusion drive). Fusion drive is just great.

Updated the efi tonight just to be current.

2.6 i7 with fusion drive.
16gb crucial
using mini dp to dual-dvi
30" dell 3007

flickering plus snow, have not done the update yet.
