Blizzard and Hearthstone fans -- check this out!!!

A family member of mine works for Activision -- he's been there a long time now. Last night he told me he and his team are going to Apple's Sept. 9th iPhone event to show off Hearthstone for iPhone!!!

I happen to be an avid Hearthstone fan and so naturally, I'm super pumped for this!!!

My family member told me Blizzard will be one of the featured developers called to the stage to show off the game. He didn't tell me much else... I guess it makes sense if Apple is making the next iPhone display much bigger.

Anyway, just wanted to share it here so I could say "I told ya so" in a month or so from now =)

If this is true then that's awesome to hear.

I'm not a huge fan of Hearthstone but I wouldn't mind getting a iPhone version of it.

That would be one way of trumpeting the benefits of a larger iPhone display - gaming. More specifically, running games that aren't available on Android. :p

How long until your family disowns you for telling NDA secrets on the internet? :)

And if someone from Apple sees this he might not be there much longer. Because Apple is hecka cray cray about the whole secrecy thing. As they haven't announced the sept 9 date they won't be happy that was in effect confirmed. They wont be happy that one of the demos was leaked out etc.

And I bet it won't be hard to figure out who leaked it. In violation of some NDA that was probably signed and that's the end of that.

----------

Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and Re/Code have confirmed an Apple event for September 9th.

No matter who says it, nothing is confirmed until Apple says it.

This. Everyone seems to think it's confirmed because three "sources" said so.

Correct, nothing is confirmed until Apple says it, but it is highly likely and a much better likelihood than picking a random date in September. Plus, these sources have never (to my knowledge) been incorrect about an event date this close in. Not saying it's not possible, but I know the track record impressive, especially with a history of these sources being targets of "controlled leaks" by Apple.

With all the rumours about Apple changing designs, names and even modifying UI because they leaked last minute.

Even if this was true, probably not anymore..

Or maybe this is a 'planned' leak.. newly created account=suspicious

I cant imagine the design work it took to get that onto a 3.5inch screen haha.

Maybe it'll work only on the 4.7" inch screen, which is why they only decided to port it now.

Bad monetary practices aside, if true I hope this makes WotC make a Magic client for iPhone, as it's the better game, IMO.

I would love to play HS on an iPhone.

Im a big fan of Magic:The Gathering and World of Warcraft so that game is great for me.
