I bought my son an iPhone 5 for Christmas and we have been having some data issues with erroneous usage in the middle of the night and when he is on WiFi. It's enough that VZW is looking into. So anyway my son keeps data off when on WiFi and when he goes to sleep. He has to enable data when he is outside the home.

I am new to Apple as well coming from Android being a HC User and this is my First iPhone as well. I have JB'd mine and been playing around and I am enjoying this (kinda like switching ROMs on Android).

In any case I want to give my son's iPhone some items through JB but do not want him to be able to do anything without me present. I'd like to give him some customization and specifically some quick settings to turn data on and off.

Is there anyway I can JB his phone and then somehow password protect or be able to block him from Cydia?

you could use app locker and lock password protect cydia and maybe the settings app if you dont want him messing with certain settings...this would hinder the turning off and on of data overnight though...

Will look at that as well. He is not a dishonest kid (hence getting him an iphone) and I do not mind him messing with some stuff or settings, but installing JB Apps, I want to at least know what he is doing.
