Can someone please explain to me why this isn’t a problem for most Apple users?

We are effectively forces to buy a Mac to access hidden tv/movie purchases. Not even able to access through Apple TV

Because you need to own a mac (or PC... you can do this from a PC too) in order to hide them in the first place?

And too bad I had to sell mine some time ago. So I’m basically screwed out of my purchases even as I still own an iPhone and iPad that I should easily be able to access said purchases on. So again I ask, no thinks it’s wrong that Apple forces you to own the Mac in order to hide and unhide tv/movie purchases while still pushing the mobile devices so hard at us?
If it’s all about iCloud and “What’s a Computer?” then I should not need a Mac to get access to my purchases, even if they are hidden.

That may not really a bad thing because Apple didn't make them hidden automatically. you decided to hide purchases.

User issue = not forced.

you might want to read your own question again, which I answered.

Anyone who never had a Mac or pc to begin with probably wouldn’t be aware that this was possible, and wouldn’t be affected.

It’s likely a very small subsection of a very small percentage of users who hid purchases while owning a Mac or PC and then disposed of all non-iOS devices, and furthermore don’t have access to a computer they can use at work.

Therefore it isn’t a problem for most Apple users. Is it something that should be fixed? Probably. But they have much bigger issues to solve in iOS.
