I know installing a TVOS beta configuration profile blocks future updates but, how is it exactly done? Is the profile available from Apple’s public beta program or only developers? I’m not interested in doing it myself but, I’m curious what’s involved considering I’ve seen it recommended countless times...

Iirc I downloaded it through an external site to keep my iPad Pro on iOS 10.

1. Start Safari on your iPhone.
2. Download tvOS Beta Profile and click on Install.
3. Reboot.
