I've been routinely blocking numbers as I receive SPAM text messages. This year SPAM has increased a lot - and at times I'll receive about a dozen or more SPAM text messages in a day. My blocked number list is growing faster. This made me wonder if there's a limit to how many block numbers I get to add.

So here are my questions for this post:

For iOS 15 is there a limit to how many numbers can be blocked? If so then what is that number? 25? 50? 100? More? Or, can we add as many blocked numbers as we need?

One of my other telephones only allows up to 5 numbers to be blocked. In 2024 that makes zero sense. I don't recall if this is my Verizon Wireless carrier or my IP phone from Xfinity. It doesn't really matter though - SPAM is so out of control that I've just about stopped using my cell or my other phones.

I would think we have enough technology to block SPAM to our cell phones. gmail does a good job blocking SPAM - why can't SPAM be effectively blocked on my cell phone? What a PITA.
