anyone know a way on an iPhone to block Verizon callers, as thye have some sort of *69 feature where they can call another carrier without their number showing up either coming up as Unknown, or Private Caller.

My stepson is being harassed, and I wanted him to switch to an iPhone to be able to block his ex Girlfriend, but she is on Verizon and they have some feature *69 that allows her to call him and blow his phone up while he is at work.

I was going to buy him an iPhone XR so he can block her, but apparently Verizon allows callers to bypass this feature

All carriers have that function to mask their Caller ID or manually change to not show Caller ID. For T-Mobile, it is *67. On iPhone, you can silence unknown callers in the Phone settings which will send the calls to voicemail but will still show up in the recent call list.

You can block unknown numbers in settings. This however blocks all callers not in your contacts

If your stepson knows the number, can't he ask tmobile to block the number even if a *69 is used?

Apple really dropped the ball on this feature. I want to block people who block their caller ID, not every random number there is. I get client phone calls, and not every potential client is in my contacts.

Is there a better implementation dealing with incognito callers elsewhere?

If he’s on T mobile, download the T mobile ID app and add the number to the app and it will block it. I’m not here to stir the pot, but to offer suggestions. I also have a Note 10+ alongside my 11 pro max and the android handles the blocking functions extremely well natively. I’ve had to do it myself.

If your willing to get a new phone I think its time to cancel the line or change the number on the line. Forget about blocking the crazy person, do something so they have no clue where to contact you.

I had a similar issue a while back and I ended up having to change the number.
