It seems like after the upgrade to El Capitan, videos I've watched using MPlayerX and VLC have some sort of blocky/pixelated issue. See the attached image. Any ideas on what could be causing this, what setting might remedy this, or what app might fix it? Thanks!

So this is strange...if I open a video using VLC that is in my Applications folder, it looks like the image above (blocky/pixelated). If I open an instance of VLC from the .dmg and play the video, it's smooth and looks right. What is going on here??

I noticed it in MplayerX extended. Didn't notice it in VLC.

Are you sure the version of vlc in your applications folder is the most recent (check for updates?)

I figured my MplayerX is just too old. Hasn't been updated in years.
