Paid for a delivery for Friday, of course i was at work and now they won't deliver until Monday as City Link don't do weekends.

Royal Mail may have there problems but they always attempt to re-deliver the next day - including saturdays.

Last time i use eBuyer, and from now on i'm checking a sites delivery partner, make sure there up to the job - which City Link are not.

A new case for my old creaking pc,

http://www.antec.com/uk/productDetails.php?ProdID=08731

Can't afford a Mini and am fed up with a hulking great tower taking up space on my desk, also need a new PSU as mine is doing the Jet taking off routine.

Anyway, bloody eBuyer, flatly refused to get City Link to redeliver on Saturday, Royal Mail Parcelforce do it all the time.

Last time i use them.

Very

In my experience, unless you pay extra, no courier company will deliver on a Saturday. I've had my fair share of missed deliveries on a Friday and it's always been Monday before I get the redelivery (this includes Parcel Force, City Link, TNT, Parceline, Countrywide etc etc etc)

Royal Mail are different in that Saturday is a 'normal' delivery day (although they don't guarantee Special Delivery items to be delivered on Saturdays, but I've never had one yet that hasn't turned up on a Saturday).

When you deal with courier companies as much as I have, you learn to accept the fact Saturday just isn't a day they consider a normal working day. I don't think Ebuyer are to blame here, they've paid City Link to deliver to you under their normal delivery service, which will not include a Saturday. I doubt Ebuyer is prepared to pay extra to have it delivered on a Saturday unless you're prepared to foot the extra charge yourself.

Actually did find this out today after complaining to both City Link and Ebuyer.com, seems Parcel Force count Saturday as a "normal" day and most other places do not.

Still dons't alter the fact that the item i paid extra to arrive on Friday is now not arriving until Monday, and that i lose the weekend i had planned for my upgrade.

On the up side, www.Play.com are doing a bigger line of computer parts all the time, but they have the fantastic free delivery and use Parcel Force - which means no hassle like this.

(Combatcolin mumbles to himself, walks away kicking the door and generally doing the whole Basil Faultly routine which is much harder when you havn't got a Spainard to take it out on)
