The only way that is going to happen is if they release it on a GSM carrier and then the unlocking spree begins. BTW it's Verizon, unless the "i" is there for insults?
Boost may be able to sell it, but may choose not to. I don't know what Boost US' policies are; Boost no longer operates in NZ but you were limited to using "approved" phones (there was a whitelist of valid ESNs, and everything else was blocked).
