I just noticed this for the first time. I have a Feb 05 PowerBook. In the center of the screen, surrounding the apple logo on the read, is a "L" shaped blob. There are other smaller less prominent blobs. They are most noticible with a white background. I remember reading about older PB's having this issue, does my generation also suffer from this?

This looks exactly like what you described. Check your serial number to see you you are covered.

Wow, that is exactly what i am experiancing, BUT i bought mine in Feb 2005 and my Serial # is no where close to being included in that range. Time to call APPLE CARE!
