Hi,

I feel like an idiot! I accidentally blasted the volume on my iMac (accidentally pressed the key on the keyboard), and ever since the speakers have sounded crackly. It's one of the first generation AL iMacs. It's still under warranty, will Apple cover this? I really don't want to pack it up and go down to the Apple store (don't have apple car and not going to pay for phone support) to be told that it isn't covered.

Thanks!

Don

If it's under a year old you have Apple Care. (Who seriously doesn't buy the two year extension of AppleCare for a $1,000+ product?)

I have the standard warranty, but I haven't purchased Apple Care yet. I just don't have the 90 day phone support anymore.

@ TEG- Thanks, looks like I'll be at the Genius Bar this weekend (ugh, just loved to belittled by some 20 something jerk).
