Blu-Ray coming to Apple?

Here's my predictions for MacWorld 2008:

1. A Blu-Ray MacBook Pro
2. The new unusual large trackpad with in-built fingerprint security
3. An Apple TV with inbuilt Blu-Ray drive

Here's my iTunes predictions for MacWorld 2008:

1. iTunes Movie Rentals
2. iTunes Movie support in more countries (Canada, Britain, Australia, New Zealand etc.)
3. Blu-Ray discs bearing 'Made for iPod' emblem - enabling purchased discs to be compatible with iPod/iTunes

Here is my reply.

probably not going to have a blu-ray player in the mbp.

Enough with the fingerprint scanners. Everyone knows they are a waist of time and never work.

Itunes movies will prob happen but not by macworld.

Apple will either not put a blue-ray player in unless there is a combo where it will play both formats.

Finally these topics have been asked a million times on this site. search the forums.

Definitely no bluray for portables next month. they couldn't even fit a dual-layer drive in the first macbook pro's - that was just last year!
Mac Pros will most likely have any kind of next-gen optical drive first for a little while. I'm going to call bluray in mid-2009 for macbook pro's.
