I have a Region B-locked Blu-ray thats 1080i @ 25fps. It does not load; the external LG drive ejects it after a few seconds. I have other Region B discs that play fine, but no other discs that are 1080i.

I know 1080i discs present issues with stand-alone players (not all are 50Hz compatible), but should this be an issue on computers?

Could someone please shed some light on this? Thank you

I would assume, based on so little information, that the other Region B discs that you are trying to play are listed as such and are actually Region free while this new one is truly locked. When it comes to BDs, it seems that a large amount actually aren't locked at all even if they bear a logo stating as such.

^ Thank you. I also opened Console while the disc tried to load, but not a single action/message was logged.

Do you have experience playing BD's on a Mac? I thought Regions were ignored on computer Blu-ray drives.
