Today, I found a news bit on the front page of MacRumors about the next line of pro macs (including MBPs) having blu-ray drives. What is so groundbreaking about Blu-Ray?

that 8 layer disc will hold 200GB total

considering that the only blue ray drives for computers out cost about $1000 right now, they can go shove it back on the shelf.

Bluray is not ready for primetime. I think it would benefit Apple to wait until it is truly ready. The dual layer discs are NOT shipping yet, not in quantity. Not even manufactured discs for movies, let alone recordable blanks. They are having massive issues with many parts of Bluray.
