blue ray player/burner for macbook pro 2008

HI everyone,

I am thinking of getting a blue ray burner for my early mac book pro 2008. I have 160G X25m SSD.

Which one do you recommend?

There are none of the appropriate size for internal installation. If you want external, I'd recommend any of the current LG drives in a 5.25" external enclosure. Mine is a ByTec FW400, USB2, eSATA.

Do the 17" uMBPs still have 12.7mm slot-load drives or have they gone to 9.5 like the 15s? If they're still the thicker drive there are slot-load 12.7mm drives.
