I'm trying to set up a mixed home network with a HP laptop and an iMac running Mac OS X 10.5. I downloaded sharepoints and tried it out, but decided I didn't really like it, so I just used the system preferences --> sharing instead. I shared paths to my both partitions of my hard drive (I'm running bootcamp so I have a Mac and Windows partition) as well as a path to an external hard drive connected to the Mac. I tried to access some of the files on the iMac from my HP and everything appeared to be working great. Then my wife came into the room and hopped on the iMac and was like "did you change the language on here or something?" When she moused over some of the icons their names were all jacked up with weird characters and whatnot and the computer was unresponsive. I then again tried to access the iMac from my laptop and got an error message.

I figured I'd try to restart the iMac, but got a blue screen with a spinning progress wheel. No big deal ... I'll just go into safe mode and figure it out right? Nope. Still got the blue screen. Then I tried the disk utility on the Mac OS install disk and repaired the disk and repaired permissions. That went ok, but on the restart I still get the blue screen and I really don't know what else to do or what is causing the problem. If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.
