Blue Screen of Death Using DiskWarrior

Never thought I'd see a BSD on a Mac, but... when I boot the DiskWarriorCD (version 3.0), the screen goes blue with no CD or other disk activity. Only after a half-hour was I able to get something to happen by pressing ESC -- and then only the CD drive made some noise.

My system is a 1.33ghz 17" running osX.2.8.

Anyone else with this problem?

Sounds like your Mac is failing to boot from the CD, that's all, it's hardly a BSOD. All you are seeing is the blue desktop of the finder which is being loaded from the CD.
Try booting from your OS X install CD to see if it's a general problem your Mac has booting from CD, or if it's just your DiskWarrior CD.

Problem is that Disk Warrior boots using 10.2.3. Your powerbook cannot run on anything less than 10.2.8.

Technically, the ROM's can handle X.2.7, as that is what the system came with.
