Blues are off in Photoshop?

Hi,

It seems like I can never get the right shade of blue in Photoshop. I typed in #0000FF (exactly the color I wanted) for some text and it looked really weird. I examined the color with "digital color meter" and it said the color was actually #2D00FF

???

Has anyone else ever run into this?

Could that be photoshop working with your color profile?
