I am planning to get a iphone and when I do go ahead and sign the store Im getting it from is going to throw in a jawbone with my iphone. My question is I already got bluetooth in my car which I would use whenever driving and it automatically syncs when i get in. I was wondering would I also be able to have the jawbone synced too at the same time or would I have to unpair one to use the other and pair it back when using the other. I was planning to use the jawbone for the store and so on and the car bluetooth for when driving.

iPhone and multiple bluetooth

I have a 3G iPhone which I use with a bluetooth car kit and with a bluetooth headset. It works seamlessly.

Basically it remembers it's pairing with both devices and defaults connections to the first active device. i.e. when I drive to work my headset is turned off, so when I get in the car the iPhone automatically connects to my car kit. When I leave the car it disconnects and if I choose to use my headset during the day I just turn it on and it connects. If I enter the car with the bluetooth headset turned on it remains connected to the headset, but..

When using then iphone to make a call and you have both bluetooth devices active it actually brings up a menu where you can choose to change from the first connect device to an other device or the earpiece in the phone or the phones handsfree.

Very smooth.

Jawbone Headset Comment

Just another thought on headsets -

when I got my iphone I bought a Jawbone 2 bluetooth headset to go with it. This headset is no doubt technically advanced, but I had problems making it fit to my ear. The earloops offer no adjustment other than different sizes.

I have recently changed it for a Sennheiser FLX 70 which can be twisted to adjust. I have only had this a few days - but the sound quality and fit is great!
