The sound output from the bluetooth connected speakers is not clear; it looks like as if the speaker is under water.
The same speaker when paired with other devices (iPhones), the sound is as good as it has always been.

I did the reset of bluetooth settings and it didn't help.
Else where, it was mentioned to delete the plugins ( /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins ), have done that as well.

Still the output is just not good. wasn't the case when I was using MacBook on Big Sur beta version.

Anyone else having such issues and if yes, do share your thoughts on how to possibly fix it.

The only time I had a problem like similar to this I found it was because I'd been using headphones that had installed a codec and switched on the mic.

If you go into the sound settings and see if they've installed something in 'input'.
You should really just have the internal, built in mic working.
It might be something else there similar in the sound settings, Soundflower or something like that
(does that still exist? )
It may well not be that of course but it was exactly that result so I pass it on for you to try.

Don't have sound flower or similar; have 3 options, I am trying to use the bluetooth speaker as I'm using my MacBook in clamshell mode as a desktop attached with LG Ultra Monitor (2nd option in screenshot).

I don't know why it shows monitor, it doesn't even have speakers on it..

edit: forgot to mention, thx for the response.
