So I installed a Pioneer XB930BT in my car not too long ago. I have no issues connecting or pairing. It connects fine. Instead my iPhone 4 (iOS5) has been having issues with the volume when streaming through Bluetooth. When I first start up the car and drive with the music streaming from my iPhone the volume is perfect and the quality is spot on. However, when I turn the car off and come back sometimes the volume is extremely low and I have to crank the volume up all the way on the head unit to get it at an audible level. When I do this the quality goes to crap and its still not even that loud compared to what its suppose to be. The only fix I have found and only sometimes works is to turn off the bluetooth audio on the headunit and wait for a while, then turn it on and play the music again. Even so, this only works about 75% of the time. Its really annoying and I'd love to hear some ideas on how I can fix this! Does anyone else have this problem when streaming music through Bluetooth?

Thanks!

Spoke too soon. Trip home from work this evening, and the sound level issue was back.

As I've said before, clicking on the + hardware button on the side of the phone immediately brings the volume up to 'normal' levels.

I just ran out to the car to test and see if I had any issues, I let the phone connect and hit play and didn't have any volume problems. Then I turned the car off and waited a bit and turned it back on, reconnected and hit play... No problem. So far it seems I'm not having any issues like before. Hopefully that doesn't change when I actually drive.

Whenever I do have to hit the + button on the phone its because I can't hear anything at all, and the volume is all the way down on the phone. This doesn't bother me as much as having to turn up my HU all the way up and have crappy quality sound (and it still isn't even that loud) when the phone's volume is up.

Whelp, I'm disappointed to say that the problem still persists. I thought it had gone away but it hasn't. I tried turning up the volume on the phone even though it was already up and I still had the crappy and quiet audio coming out of my speakers. Damnit! I'm not even sure how to fix it anymore, my usual remedy of turning off the BT streaming on the headunit and turning it back on doesn't seem to work anymore. I'm about to spend the extra $50 and buy the iPod interface cable, I'm sick of this bs.
