I haven't used the Bluetooth module since shortly after I received this computer from Apple. Computer came installed with Tiger, I upgraded to Leopard.

Now System Profiler shows "No Information Found" in the Bluetooth section. BT does not show up in Sys Pref, and while BT status appears in Menu Bar (from when it was working), it just shows a defeated-looking squiggle over a faded BT symbol -- kind of like someone got angry and stepped on it. Click it and instead of a BT menu, I just get "Bluetooth: Not Available."

Anyone else have an issue like this? I feel like there may be an issue with the fact that the User Account has been transferred from a BT-enabled machine to a non-BT machine, then to a BT machine and then to this one.

Before taking it to the shop, I'd like to try some sort of hardware reset if anyone knows how to go about this.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
