There's 3 different solutions for a bluetooth reset here:
https://www.***************/how-to-reset-bluetooth-hardware-module-on-macos/

Look for the red box, which has info for Monterey.

(the link above doesn't seem to work - To reset Bluetooth in Monterey, try this in your terminal
Code:
sudo pkill bluetoothd

I consider that in this case, the terms "module" and "process" are interchangeable. That command would reset the Bluetooth process, which is the most important thing that the bluetooth reset does (on previous macOS)
The other link (which I have no idea why it is somehow being censored) showed other steps. I don't know how to show a link for that one, but I got there with a google search for "reset Bluetooth on Monterey", which showed me the link to some good info (I wish this site let me show it, but, oh well... )
(The asterisks cover part of the site address, which is www.*************** - maybe that will be helpful to you?)
The other step that you can do is to right click on each device in the list, and click "remove", then do the reset command in the terminal.
Re-add the devices that you make discoverable...

I experienced a Bluetooth issue in Monterey (M1 Mac mini): My AirPods Max didn't work well, all of a sudden. Music from the Music app stuttered, a terrible sound. No problem with the Music app as wired headphones worked.

Executing this terminal command, followed by a restart, helped! (At least so far.)

macOS 12.1 Beta 3 is much better. So let's hope Apple has fixed this issue until release of 12.1
