Wow... what's wrong with Wifi, 3G, or USB for transferring files? Bluetooth file transfer seems like old technology that I don't really need in my iPhone. Thanks for giving the jailbreakers something new to brag about. Meh.

I really couldn't care less but with some other limitations, not being able to send or receive files from other phones through BT seems to be a big issue in Italy/Europe.

Bluetooth on iPhone available NOW!
Bluetooth has always been available on the iPhone. File transferring via bluetooth is inconvenient anymore. You have to be within ~20 feet or so to send files, and there is a limit on how big the file that you are sending can be.

Bluetooth works for transferring files to the phones that the vast majority of the population own - ie ones with no set up data tarriff.

That's why it's incredibly popular, and it's absense has really hurt the iPhone IMO.

Yeah I miss bluetooth on my iPhone. Someone asks me to send them a pic and I'm all "yeeaaah um I'll email it to you!"

"...and you can get it on your computer when you get home because you haven't got email set up on your phone, and then if you're technically minded enough you can dig out your sync cable and transfer it to your phone."

Yeah, Bluetooth's dead alright.

1. MMS
2. Video Recording
3. Theming
4. Bluetooth File Transfer
5. Turn-by-turn GPS
6. Copy & Paste
7. Tethering
8. Full System /root access
9. Software Emulation

Meh.

Fixed.

Maybe those in the US don't see the significance of this, but BT file transfer is a very big missing feature for people in Europe - much more so than MMS or copy/paste or even a better camera.

This absolutely makes JBing an essential move for anyone in Europe with an iphone.

This will make the developer some serious money.

Funny how a few months ago everyone was complaining about the lack of BlueTooth files transfers, but now that it's here they're complaining just as much

I wasn't complaining ever. I used to transfer files over bluetooth to my old dumbphone because it didn't have wifi. With wifi now and cellular connections and Safari and iTunes and USB, there's no need for bluetooth file transfer for me.

It can't be discovered by windows...
When I get to the transfer windows is just a black page..

anybody got it to work?

It is supposed to be some buggy code that he stole from the original team that started by the ibluetooth project. Their app sweettooth ( it is out in the form of a stumbler at the moment) should be released soon with transfer capability and should be able to read the itunes database file so you know what mp3 you are actually sending not what you can do now which basically guess which song is which... and it should have a lot less bugs in it too.

How the hell do you even get past the registration page?! I hit get licence and I get a 'registration failed' page?! Is there a demo?

Edit: should you be able to fill in the email field? I don't appear to be able to....

If bluetooth is old technology why does every new phone have it. Can you transfer files between devices anywhere over wifi without having the same software on both devices? As long as the phone has Bluetooth why not exploit it to it's full potential. Why are you against a feature that you won't use but others will, that kind of attitude doesn't make sense to me.

This app is not for you.

Is the registration fixed?
I have read loads of comments against the developer.
And that its a fake.
Has anyone made it work?

I registered it and got my details from him, but I'd put a o instead of 0 like the idiot I am so registration failed. I've contacted him and am waiting for a response! The actual software worked fine in demo mode for me and I was able to send a file to a sony phone and receive one back.

I don't have a whole lot of interest in the whole Bluetooth transfer capability, but if it's a stepping stone to getting A2DP on the phone then I'm very interested...

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5G77 Safari/525.20)

Managed to get the demo version activated. Itcrashes when you click on image library.

this was a feature i've been using since 2000 starting with a SE T68i. i was pretty bummed when the iphone didn't have it. but it is pretty easy to sync songs/photos through itunes so i've gotten used to it. downside is not being able to transfer songs/pics/etc to friends with BT enabled phones.
so if you can transfer files such as songs with this app, where do they go? and do they sync properly with your library once you connect your iphone with your computer?
would be great to get A2DP enabled!!
