I'm buying a 1st gen (g4, 256mb) mini to dabble with, get acclimated with the OS and software. This model I know the original purchaser didn't opt for the integrated bluetooth, and so I'm curious what my options are. Can I purchase a mini-dongle for it, so that I can use the new keyboard and magic mouse?

I was thinking something like:
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Mini-Blueto...emQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3ef89161c9

or:
http://www.amazon.com/PLANEX-Blueto...signed/dp/B000YHUR0M/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

Also, were there any other suggestions for upgrades? (I should have a few 512mb sticks laying around, so RAM shouldn't be an issue. Wireless G should suffice, but also I have a 4.5tb NasBox (Raid 5) for storage. No issues there either.

yeah 1 GB of RAM is the max on those machines. You'd probably want to stay on like Tiger, if you do get it.

I'd have to say, I'd encourage you to see if you could find an intel machine.

THe G4s are really past their mark now.

I have a Powerbook G4, 1.5 GHZ with 1.25 GB of ram. I've kept it running, but I assure you, it is going to be slow.
