Bluetooth Headphones for iPod Touch (3.0) software

I've been looking on google (+bluetooth stereo +headphones for iPod touch) for over the ear (not earbuds) bluetooth headphones that will work with the above iPod Touch and the 3.0 software that turns on the bluetooth feature in the Touch.

I've never given the earbuds a chance... I tried them when I first got an iPod 5 years ago and ended up giving them to my daughter. They just seem to always fall out of my ears. Thus the reason I'm looking for over the ear traditional headphones.

I use the Touch to listen to music while lifting weights and doing an hour on the elliptical. Just sick and tired of dealing with the cord.

I currently use a pair of behind the head $20 dollar sony headphones that to my ears give good enough sound quality.

Any recs... what do you use?
 
Thanks, I'll check that one out. Headphones you exercise with are like watches and sunglasses. Don't get an expensive one because sooner or later you're going to lose them or break them.
 
Gee, for a minute i had to check to see if i posted this! LOL!! RIGht down to using the $20 Sony behind the head headphones right now (the white ones? my oldest child stole mine and now i need a new pair... and i can't find ones to buy).

I think i'll go with the Motorola ones - the S505's. the S9's are in the ear ones, and I could probably stand them.... but then i couldn't hear the kids :D

The s305 sounds perfect but some of the sites say it is not compatible with the iPod Touch or the iPhone. But some of the reviews on the Amazon site says it works with the iPhone.

That is the only thing putting me off right now.

Well, i already listen mostly at the lowest volume - unless we are at gymnastics. It's loud in that warehouse. I normally just have one side of whatever i am using on, hence more worries about the in-ear thing (i bought an returned 2 of them a few years ago because while i finally found ones that fit - i couldn't hear the world around me.

I wasn't able to dig up much info on them. One thing i figured, is that apparently i could buy them at my Verizon store for $69 - and i figured that would be easier if i needed to return them! If you do take the plunge and try them do post back.

Also, Best Buy has a pair that is similar - but is a house brand i think. They didn't have them on display at my Small Market Store (seriously, the smallest they build these days i'm told by my old manager). But you might be able to find someone that has used them there too.

Of course, i still haven't upgraded to 3.0 either.... details right?
 
I'm guessing that Motorola hasn't updated their site recently - and, right now you have to pay to make them work on the Touch, and not all the controls work.

So, hmmmm, i guess i'm not surprised at this from Motorola! LOL!!

One of the best reviews i found was a Blackberry one. He was more interested in how they sounded. I'm so NOT anal in this area, i just wanted to know they sounded decent and would be comfy & light. being able to use them on my Treo was going to be a plus.... then i realized that wearing them in the car would be about like wearing in ear ones and not hearing the kids. Oops! LOL!!

I kinda spent my headphone money on a monitor for the kids on Friday (ok, i can now watch TV in bed on it too), so i technically have to wait a bit for them.... i guess i should be watching for a sale?

So are you going to go for it? huh huh huh???? :D

Sony BT50.

I've got both of these. Recommend them both. They work fine with my Touch 2G. The JBLs came with a dock connector and also work using it on my 1st gen Touch as well. They also come with a patch cable so you can plug them into an earphone jack if you find their battery has run down.

Several months ago I bought the dr-bt22-ik (sony bluetooth headphones). I use them almost everyday at the gym to exercise with. I've decided to use the little transmitter that came with them that you plug into the bottom of the iPod Touch. I've tested it with and without that little transmitter (I have a rev2 iPod Touch that has bluetooth) and find that my battery lasts longer with the Sony transmitter plugged into the bottom of the iPod Touch.

Sound quality is good. I don't have problems with dropouts or disconnects. I can control the volume from the headphone. These headphones might be an older model but Amazon still sells them. The are light enough so I don't notice them while I am exercising.
