I just connected my B&O BeoPlay H7 bluetooth headset in macOS Sierra, but the volume are really low. I can barely hear anything with the volume on max. Initially I had some issues with the sound quality but sorted that out by installing the Bluetooth Explorer app and forced the use of aptX.

Any ideas on how to get the volume working? The headset works fine with my iPhone/iPad and sounds amazing, so it must be something with the OS...

Yes
You've got volume cranked in iTunes, in System Volume, AND headphones?
Any one of the three can kill your volume.

I think it might have something to do with the Boom 2 equalizer that I have installed on my rMBP. Will have to look i to this.
