So I finally set up my new MacPro with 30" cinema (best thing I have ever bought) and set up XP64bit on one HD and OSX on the other.
Everything works great so far except for the bluetooth keyboard and my wifi card (dont really need that though)

I really dont want to have to plug in a keyboard when I go to XP ...
Any idea how I get XP to see my bluetooth and see my keyboard ?
thanks

Have you gone through the procedure to set up a new bluetooth device? If you can do that, let it create its own pin or passcode or whatever it is. My BT mouse and keyboard didn't like working in Windows properly until I did that - i.e. follow the instructions on the Apple site!! :p

Failing that install Windows XP x86 (not XP64).

I have to say that a Mac Pro + 30" ACD = match made in heaven!!

You have to go into the bluetooth page in control panel and activate it there, then afterward (at least on my system) you have to turn the keyboard off/on after every boot of xp for it to initialize.

You CAN select the boot menu using the bluetooth keyboard, but you have to have OSX as the default boot system in order for it to work, otherwise it won't detect that you're holding the option key and will boot into xp.

I set up both my mouse and keyboard in XP, but I still have a problem with the keyboard. The mouse connects with no problems, but every time I boot in to XP I have to turn the keyboard off and back on, and then it will connect.

It's weird.

Hit enter instead of turning it off and on and it should work.

Ok, everything works now ...
Anyone know how to make OS X the default boot ?
Also, any idea on how to map the keyboard so it works the same in windows?

I was having the same problem as you. Hitting "Enter" does not solve it. Try deleting the device in the bluetooth manager and re adding it but this time giving it a passkey yourself instead of automatically.

The Boot Camp drivers are only for Windows 32-bit, not x64. So you won't be able to get Bluetooth working unless you can find a place to download Bluetooth drivers for the chip Apple uses. (Sorry, I don't know what the chip is for the Mac Pro.)

But I would suggest re-pairing your keyboard in OS X, and write down what PIN OS X uses. Then, when you pair in Windows, tell it to let you choose your own PIN, and use the same one that OS X used. That way, you won't have to re-pair every time you switch OSes. (Figured that one out on my MacBook Pro.)

I'm having the same problems when booted into XP. I leave an old USB mouse connected so I can use it when XP boots up. Then I have to go in and remove the Apple keyboard and mighty mouse and re-add them. Even when I create a passkey, the bluetooth devices screen says "no passkey" but it works. Is there something I'm doing wrong that I could correct so that windows will automatically detect the mouse and keyboard (especially the keyboard) when it boots up? Thanks :)

EDIT: I just realized this was in the Mac Pro forum...I'm using a 24" iMac if that makes a difference. Please move this post if needed. Thank You
