My son has a new 2017 iPad. We bought a bluetooth keyboard case to use with it. They pair together fine, but you have to press long and hard on the keys to get it to type on the iPad. Sounds like a defective keyboard right? It's not, it pairs with and works fine with three other iOS devices we have. It just won't work with his iPad.

So far I've tried:
Hard reset
Erase all network settings
Turn BT on and off
Reset keyboard dictionary

We backed up his iPad, did a 'Erase all content and settings' and it then it worked fine. As soon as I restore his backup (because of his saved games progress) the problem returns.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Maybe try to go into the bluetooth settings and forget the device, then repair. Seems something's broken in the old backup file somehow maybe.
