I have no problem typing on it as it appears to be a properly spaced keyboard. It's larger than my iPad Air with leather case (almost too thick to fit in the slot). I'd say your Air 2 should be no problem, I've noticed no flexing with my Air 1. It just fits into my messenger bag.

It's handy for my iPhone and ATV3, it can also be re-paired easily to my WMC PC when I need it (it automatically remaps the keys for Android / PC or OS X / iOS)
