bluetooth keyboard

I'd like to use this apple bluetooth keyboard with my MBP at home.

I just want to make sure they will automatically connect when near each other, and I won't have to manually activate the connection each time..

you'll have to pair the keyboard, but you won't have to worry about pairing it after that. out of curiosity, why are you going with the older wireless keyboard and not the new one?

Because as far as i know the new wireless keyboard doesn't have the # pad which I would much prefer to have.
