I currently rock a magic keyboard and trackpad combo and it’s a dream.

The only downside is that the bluetooth connection to the keyboard tends to get…unresponsive.

inputs are delayed by like 2 seconds from when I’m typing whatever it is I write.

This can usually be resolved by turning it off and turning it back on again, but it’s still annoying.

I’m thinking maybe I should get a bluetooth 5 keyboard for a stronger connection, does anyone have this experience too?

Do you have any recommended bluetooth 5 keyboards?

If I understand your issue correctly, you should be aware the connection between your iPad, and your Magic Keyboard is not BT. The connection is made between the pins on the MK the the three contact points on the back of your iPP.
I’m talking about the bluetooth magic keyboard and the bluetooth magic trackpad 2.

Apple needs to be more creative with names.

Sorry, I thought you were referring to the Magic Keyboard folio. Your combo of course is different.

I am using both and not having that problem, maybe forget them in Bluetooth settings and re connect again.

Did you try switch off and switch on magic keyboard? I had the same issue yesterday after joining AirPods max to my IPP and switching off/on the keyboard helped me
