Exactly as the title says. No longer do you HAVE to have a Stereo Bluetooth Headset to listen music through it. Just search in Cydia for "Bluetooth Mono SBSettings Toggle" and make sure you have it enabled in SBsettings.

I have been using it with my Plantronics Discovery 925 and it works beautifully!

As usual I do have a hands on video so you can see it in action;) Enjoy people:p

Bluetooth Mono SBSettings

I like it for listening to audiobooks and podcasts either working out or in the car. Music wouldn't sound that good with only one ear, but it is ideal for spoken word type content.

Has anyone tried using this on an ios 5 (obviously tethered) device? I'm trying it with a plantronics voyager pro and it doesn't seem to be working at all. Just curious if anyone else is having problems?

Im on ios5 and this is giving me problems also. it worked flawlessly on older iOS versions. Now it messes with my volume control, i get no sound through my BT but only for a second and my phone becomes extremely laggy. I hope this gets fixed soon

The sad bit is the developer is no longer supporting

Having the same problems here!! Hopefully someone picks this project up and fixes it for IOS 5

Actually I got it to work decent. I reset the bluetooth setup (to my car in my instance) and then went to SBSettings and turned on the mono bluetooth setting. then went to the Lockscreen to hit play (worked for both Pandora and the regular music app on my iPhone 4)!

Really? So it works like it used to? No bugs? I am on ios 4.3 but would upgrade again if this were the case

THANK YOU soooo much!!! I'm on iOS 4.2.1 and NOW i can listen to my iPod music via my Plantronics Voyager Pro Bluetooth Headset!! :D:D:D:D:D
...
(it is true, though, the volume is terribly low and sound quality is near terrible)... but nDeed it WORKS!! ;)

Ugh...worked well before 5.0.1 update on my iphone4. Now it's like my volume control is possessed....it turns up and down on it's own and I get either NO music at all through my bt mono earpiece or I get it for a nanosecond before it shuts off. Also, not sure if it's cydia, since I just re-jailbroke my phone this morning but the whole phone is now quirky and laggy.

Wonderful. :(

What really stinks is that the SBSetting BT Mono is the ONLY reason I JB my phone.

I have the same sad situation.

Worse yet, my 16 year old son keeps saying, "Aren't you glad you updated, Dad?" pppppllllllllllllll

I sure hope somebody takes up this cause…I sure loved having my podcasts and GPS directions playing thru either the car stereo or my bt earbud.

Yeah, I use this at the gym and I've tried every kind of case/holder made, they all get in the way. It was really nice to just leave my phone in my bag and do my workout with no wires. I'm thinking of trying to go back to an earlier OS....

Found this quote from the developer??

Hey there,

I have been receiving so many emails regarding compatibility issues with iOS5 and Bluetooth Mono app that I decided to create this auto responder.

I am unable to provide any kind of update at this moment as I don't own an iPhone.

However, I am willing to continue with the development of the app if I can get enough capital raised to buy an iPhone. I set up a fundraising campaign in order to do that. You can access at:

:apple: http://www.gofundme.com/9m1ag

Please bear in mind that by owning an iPhone is no guarantee that my app will still work, but I will try my best to make it compatible with the new system.

I hope you can appreciate my work after two years of a free working version of Bluetooth Mono, and hopefully I can continue to provide this tweak for you in the future.

Sincerely,
Weydson Lima

I'm willing to support

BT Mono is a great function and I am willing to support.
What will it take to make this work on IOS5 ?

Donation made! Looking forward to seeing this function become available again!

Bump... If you use this tweak, toss a dollar or two in the pot, you're not going to miss it if you can afford to have an iPhone anyway lol

@cayleg What repo is the "bluetooth momo ios5" under?

Checkout "Hands-Free Control 3.0" This works for me and opening siri without touching the home button is cool. But it seems to be killing my battery even in standby

Nice - BTMONO Sbsettings actually works on ios5 for me, although it crashed my springfield when I first enabled it. Now that it's enabled in sbsettings, I don't see a need to ever have to disable it, since I can choose to still direct the audio to bluetooth, or iphone, etc. It's great - it directs every piece of audio of the phone to my bluetooth. Nobody wants to give zakharris1890 a thanks for pointing this out? You guys were all dying for such a tweak on ios5.

Also, I can't understand how the author of Bluetooth Mono Settings (Weydson Lima) didn't have an iphone in the first place. How the **** did he create Bluetooth Mono Settings without an iphone? He's asking for donations to buy an iphone? That sounds like a scam.

Just get BTMONO Sbsettings by Gian Luca Cannata. It works right now on ios5.

Just bought an Iphone 4s

Would my Jawbone 2 be able to play podcasts if I went through cydia to get the right downloads and would that void my warranty?

What?? No. Apps do not void warranties. Jailbreaking does not void warranties. If you ever **** your phone so badly, just restore back to blank factory settings. You can't brick an iphone unless you physically damage it.

Yes your jawbone will be able to play your phone's audio with BTMONO.

It does work!!! You just need to change your device's audio output to Mono! You can do this by going to Settings> General> Accessibility
After you turn on Mono turn on Bluetooth Mono SBSettings Toggle. Then launch the Music app and next to the controls in the Now Playing there should be a icon that looks like a rectangle with a triangle in the bottom. Tap on it and choose the headset that is connected in Settings> General> Bluetooth

Hope this helped!

Feel free to reply.

For some reason I now have lost only music through iTunes. I have iPhone 4s 5.1. Any ideas what I may have done. Thanks
