Right now, the only thing holding me back is the mouse issue.

I would like to use the iPad for remote sessions, when I need a precise mouse and not a "drunken" finger pointer.

Is there any hint in the SDK, etc., that there might be bluetooth mouse support in future updates ?

For those wondering, no, I do not want to use my iPod or iPhone as a mouse. Why ? Because they are not mice :p

Yes, I know what the iPad was made for but remote computing is handy and would be perfect if Apple would allow mouse support. Having bluetooth and killing the mice is typical Apple but come on... throw us a bone.

What are the thoughts of the hive ?

Yes!!!!!

There should be mouse support. If I have the iPad standing in portrait and am writing with the BT keyboard, I don't want to reach out and touch the screen for various reasons. I'd have to pick it up, make my inputs, then put it down again. Terrible! That configuration is not just for writing long documents.

What if I'm surfing, messaging, emailing, tweeting, etc, etc? I may want a keyboard but I don't want to keep reaching out to the device, too slow and cumbersome.

If the iPhoneDevTeam and Cydia get on board, then I'll be the first to jailbreak !!!

Jailbreaking my iPhone was easy as pie. It is the way an Apple device should be... FREE and OPEN.

The OS similarity should expedite the process :D
