Hi together, I can't go to the BT Settings anymore after I updated to Monerey with my older iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2017)

gives me an an error when I try to access the settings via the system preferences and and via control panel (top right) the wheel turns endlessly when I click on it..

Weirdly mouse and keyboard funktion.. but not normally.. less responsive and reliable keyboard and mouse lost its scroll function.

I tried restarting, using safe mode, resetting NVRAM and SMC, turning of devices and iMAC , deleting all the plist files that have to do with BT and no I dont know what I can do anymore :/

Can anyone helf me please..

Apple mouse and keyboard?

Might try reinstalling OS. Will keep files in place but will overwrite OS components that might be corrupt.

Yes I guess other brands would not work at all as I had to connect these manually..

I can reinstall without saving all the files before? Because I have no external drive here.. So is it safe that I dont loose all the files?

All past OSes could be installed without deleting files: just don't format the drive.

But, really need to have an external drive copy of your files, for situations like this should something go wrong during install. And to have a backup in general, should your machine up and die.
