I have an 11 Pro Max. I’ve had it connected to my car via Bluetooth (not CarPlay) since I got it in September 2019. Playing music and making and taking calls has worked flawlessly. I updated the phone through iOS 13 without any issues. Last weekend I installed iOS 14. Ever since then, I can’t play audio or hear calls via Bluetooth. I can dial numbers and answer calls, but sound will not go to the car. The car shows the phone as being paused. When I try to switch output from the iPhone speaker to the car, the phone just spins and quits. This is annoying because when you have an issue involving 2 devices (the phone and the car) each company wants to blame the other. I blame iOS because that’s the only thing that’s changed. It was working fine before. The only thing that fixes this is rebooting my phone. Then it will work, but I can’t reboot my phone every time I get in the car. Has anyone else had this issue? I’ve tried searching it, but I only see issues related to CarPlay, which is not the same issue.

Apple Tech knows about this. However call and let them know so they know its an issue

I had a problem yesterday using Bluetooth in my VW and my 11 Pro where the audio kept cutting out during playback while listening to a podcast in Overcast. The audio level would fade out but play never actually stopped.
