Hi,
my configuration:
Mac Pro 2009 with 2 processor Upgraded to 5.1 firmware.
48 GB RAM.
Nvidia Geforce GTX 680 2GB (firmware modified with MAC one).
Pcie NVME adapter with 1 TB NVME storage.
Pcie USB 3 adapter (4 USB-A port + 3 USB-C port).
Ventura 13.2 with Opencore Legacy Patcher 0.6.1.

Working that is a pleasure but not bluetooth, I know the USB 1.1 problem, I have removed the internal bluetooth module and try to use an external bluetooth dongle, the Asus BT400 attached to one port of the Pcie USB 3 adapter.
I've tried everything (reset SMC, NVRAM etc.).

Even after removing internal bluetooth mini-board about my Mac still shows it as present (is it normal?):

The dongle is seen:

But it does not appear in the Bluetooth section (se the first image above) and bluetooth does not work at all.
Tried all the commands I know:
sudo pkill bluetoothd
sudo nvram bluetoothHostControllerSwitchBehavior=always
Deleted related .plist file

Someone can help me?

Thank you :)

I’ve tried this one also, it doesn’t work in Monterey- haven’t gone to Ventura on old Mac pros.

I used the wifi upgrade kit from eBay which replaces the built in wifi and Bluetooth and connects to the stock antenna.

Can you tell me which one? there are many different on ebay.
Thanks

This one should work:

BCM94360CD. Connect the wires as instructed, be careful connecting the bluetooth antenna wire, the connectors at the ends are extremely fragile. A tweezer helps with this.

This is the old one BCM94322MC:

And this is the new one installed:

The old bluetooth module is not used anymore:

That "BT" cable connects to the extension cable coming from the BCM94360CD.
