One of the biggest gripes I have had over last the years was that scrolling via a Bluetooth keyboard was not possible in Safari. For those of you who are on the beta, is that possible now with all the new Bluetooth Keyboard stuff?

I think they just added the ability move through results in the URL bar in Safari with the keyboard in iOS 9 (I forgot if this was in earlier versions). And we can now hit enter to send a text in the Messages app. I'm hoping they'll add scrolling as well.

It's just crazy how little effort Apple have put in to bt keyboard functionality in iOS! We have waited this long and still get only half of a functioning keyboard... A keyboard is kind of a decent selling point and the simplest functionality just isn't there and it makes iOS feel primitive o_O

Tey did add scrolling with the keyboard, it works quite well, a little jumpy but quite smooth overall!

So they have.. only in safari though, it seems. Anywhere else with a scrollbar still unresponsive, which is a shame.

It also seems to read page down as end? Page up works fine though.

edit: ok, not as an end, but it does page down too far.

Hopefully this is the start of more kb functionality being added across the betas. At least Apple are listening, which is good.

Does anybody know if there are currently developer api's for advanced kb control such as shortcuts and scrolling? If not, that would be a good place for Apple to start! After implementing more kb functionality that is.

I hope so too, I guess that image showing the mac style task switcher did give some hope they might consider keyboard more. And I note that the task switcher actually works now?, too, I seem to recall mention it wasn't yet functioning in some earlier beta. I'd not actually attached a keyboard till today, so not sure if that's new.

Its kinda cool but it jumps around really badly if you just hold down an arrow. Its even jumpy with just pressing it. Should improve befor the GM though.
