BD drives worked fine in Mavericks and will continue to work in Yosemite.

Not on my machines they don't. Fine on mavericks, no go on Yosemite. Three different drives, two different macs. Presumably driver not available yet.

BD drivess have worked fine for me since ML - YO.

My Asus external blu-ray kept saying unrecognized disk until DP3. Now all is good.
